SELECTION and JOB PLACEMENT

The course completed students are only eligible for selection.

The Institute will arrange for campus interview by companies at the end of every course.

Candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in Examination, Interview, Group discussion , background and personal traits.

We will motivate the students and persuade companies for selection.

Safety Supervisor

A safety supervisor is responsible for maintaining and protecting both employee and public health and safety in a variety of industries. Safety supervisors may work in the food industry ensuring food is handled and served correctly, in an industrial environment protecting the safety of workers around equipment or in a lab monitoring safe handling of chemicals. Safety supervisors may work alongside employees or may be solely responsible for safety-monitoring efforts.

The safety supervisor is responsible for identifying potential risks within the work environment as well as the public arena. Safety supervisors typically watch over current working conditions and may investigate employee work locations to pinpoint potential hazards in the manner of work, the equipment used or the products and services manufactured.

Safety Inspector

Ensure that the safety policies are implemented in each project.

Ensure that the highest standards of performance are maintained according to the safety program on their job sites.

They are also accountable for the safe performance of personnel and equipment on their project sites.

Implement a Site Safety Program and develop a clear understanding of safety responsibilities and specific duties for each foreman or supervisor.

They must be knowledgeable about and responsible for complying with all legislation, laws, and codes.

Hold at least one safety meeting biweekly with foremen to review safety conditions and general safety policies.

Ensure that sub-trades and foremen conduct weekly toolbox meetings. Where there are only a few employees, Safety Inspectors shall conduct a weekly toolbox meeting with all project personnel in attendance.

Arrange to record the minutes of safety committee meetings and forward copies to the Manager.

Safety Officer

Under the general supervision of a Shift Manager, the Campus Safety Officer is a member of a team of public safety specialists responsible for providing personal safety for members or employees. Specific Duties Include:

Providing security for persons, buildings, and assets of the university through a variety of security techniques and methods.

Responding to requests for assistance and information in a helpful and courteous manner.

Patrolling the grounds and facilities of the university in a manner consistent with Departmental SOP and University Policy.

Enforcing appropriate university regulations and policies including, but not limited to parking and traffic regulations.

Routine involvement in directing vehicular or pedestrian traffic in a variety of situations.

Assisting designated Campus Safety Officers in their campus law enforcement duties.

Safety Manager

The Departmental Safety Manager has responsibility for oversight of health and safety within the department and is a principal contact for faculty, staff and students to address health and safety issues or concerns. The Departmental Safety Manager works with faculty, management and supervisory personnel in the department to identify potential hazards associated with their operations and activities.
The main objective is to clearly identify and understand safety responsibilities, while providing the means and authority necessary to carry out those responsibilities.
